When my little lady, Princess Pickles, finally had her first sleepover party, I was a working mom and had VERY little time (between my saying yes and the date of the sleepover) to think of fun activities and 'goodie gifts'.
Easiest - painting nails and toe nails, of course! It's a must-do, and girls know that. The girls had a pillow fight and asked for feathers so it could 'look like in the movies'. Yeah, right, like I have the time for THAT clean-up! I dug out a bubble machine from the attic instead. So the carpet got a little damp...that fixes itself. Of course there was a movie, with popcorn.
The goodies were a quick and cheap round up of mainstays from the dollar store.
* eye masks - it's a SLEEPover, after all
* alphabet stickers (to put names on the eyemasks) found in the teacher/stationery/scrapbook section
* glow in the dark stars in
* cellophane bags
* glow in the dark bracelets (for when they sit in the dark talking and giggling)
Little, but relevant, details make party favors special.
